Taylor Alison Swift (born 13 December 1989) is an American musician and singer. Her discography spans multiple genres. Swift's next albums Fearless (2008) & Speak Now (2010) explored the genre of country music. "Love Story" (the first song from the country genre to be ranked at the top spot on the U.S. pop airplay charts) and "You Belong with Me" the latter track, were Swift's next albums, Fearless (2008) and Speak Now (2010). Red (2012) included the debut Billboard Hot 100 song number one, "We Are Never Ever Going back Together". The singer discarded her image as a country singer and dropped 1989 (2014), an album of synth-pop that featured the chart-topping tracks "Shake It off", "Blank Space" and "Bad Blood". Reputation (2017), with its number-one song "Look What You Did to Me" Me Do", was a product of media scrutiny. Swift who had left Big Machine, signed with Republic Records for her seventh studio album Lover (2019) which followed it up with the autobiographical documentary Miss Americana 2020. Swift's 2020 albums Folklore (2019) and Evermore (2020) were her first ventures into alternative rock and indie music. "Cardigan" was a top-ten hit, while "Willow" was a Top 100 hit. Swift began recording her first six albums after a dispute over their masters, re-releasing two in 2021: Fearless (Taylor's Version) and Red (Taylor's Version). "All Too Well (10 Min Version)" from the latter album was the longest track to hit the Hot 100. The album she released in 2022, Midnights along with its single "Anti-Hero" have set new all-time streaming music records. Swift has also produced music videos and films such as All Too Well, The Short Film (2021) and has also performed supporting roles. Swift is one among the greatest-selling musicians ever. She has sold over 200 million copies across the world. Swift is the most streamed artist on Spotify and has five albums open that have more than one-million copies sold in America. Her awards include 12 Grammy Awards, including three Album of the Year winners and an Emmy Award; 39 American Music Awards and 29 Billboard Music Awards. She is also the holder of 92 Guinness World Records. Swift has been included in such lists as Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time; Billboard’s Greatest of All Time Artists; Forbes Celebrity 100; and Billboard's 100 Greatest of All Time Artists. Swift has been given the honor of being named Artist of the Decade as well as Woman of the Decade. She is a strong proponent of women's empowerment and artists' rights.
